Hi for my new scape i want to attach Fissidens fontanus to rocks, i haves seen people using Superglue, does it really help? if yes, Is there a particular way i need to attach it so that i do not destroy the moss? any help will be deeply appreciated Arjun Dogra
Using superglue is safe. If you can find the gel type is great. I've glued different tipe of mosses and ferns with this metod.
there is also a method of tieing it to bark. you can either tie the bark to a rock until it water logs or cover the whole thing with netting and then tie it. If you are gluing it onto let's say a tall mountain stone the gel super glue will work. Eventually it will peal off. If the rock is pourous like lava it will attach its roots in a more sturdy fashion. I guess it all depends on your design ideas. Take some pics and show us your projects. Best wishes---R
