    Hello!
I have a few anthracite boulders (each between 30-60lbs, easy) that I think would look really cool in an aquascape. I know anthracite can be used as a non-porous chemical filter (like a reusable generic aquarium carbon), and I've even seen some substrates which include it. I'd probably soak and test the pieces for a couple of weeks, however I'm wondering if it's even worth the trouble. I know that it's common to run carbon only when there's a direct need, but this won't be getting replaced weekly :)

    Thanks,
    Ern
