Amano shrimp eggs hatch into larvae which require salt water to grow. They are difficult to breed for this reason.

It's brackish water to breed them.

I'm looking to try breeding Amano too.

Virtually all Amano Shrimp are wild caught and are not used to captive conditions. Amano Shrimp requires brackish water in order to breed successfully.

There has been no replies since 2nd July I assume she has found the information she required from one of the Shrimp suppliers.
