    Hi,

Title says all, if it is what's the best way to get rid of it? (reduce photoperiod? less dosing? more co2?)

If not, is it potassium deficiency? or?? please help!

    thank you

    What are you dosing with?
Is the algae covering all of the leaves?

Lights are the engine thus I would cut them down to 1/2.
Dosing with KNO3 helps. Instructions for diluting here.
Dosing with Excel will also help. I dose 1ml daily until algae goes away.

    Here is a bigger picture.

I dose 1/8 KNO3/, 1/32 CSM+B, 1/32 K2SO4, 1/32 KH2PO4 Sun-T-Th and W/C on Sat. Measurements are in teaspoons. It's not covering all the leaves but there is a different algae that's brown and it looks like dust covering most of the plants. I got a siamese flying fox to eat the algae but then I heard from a person that they don't really eat algae?? Maybe she got a false SAE?

    Thanks for the info!

I would dose more KNO3. I mix 1/4 cup with .75 tsp of KNO3. Then dose 1ml daily until it goes away. Excell will kill it but it will come back until the ecosystem is balanced. When dealing with nature things don't always go according to plan. Nothing is written in stone. Not all have the same water paramaters etc. Some have it easy to balance the eco-sysytem. Once it goes away I would increase dosing of KNO3 weekly, works for me.
