Don't fret, typical with a new tank setup as it gets established. Try supplementing with Seachem excel directly to the algae. That will kill it and also help your other plants get established.

Seachem Excel is an excellent product when it comes to keeping a healthy tank.

Besides excel, try to remove the algae directly, mechanically, using your planting tweezers. You can try a toothbrush too, algae will tangle in it. After that do a water change, because little pieces of algae will go all over the tank. While doing the water change, try to syphon more algae.

What you also must remember you have to find what is causing the Algae if not it will keep coming back.

Thank you John N. i started dosing 2 caps Seachem flourish excel daily.

Thank you Keithgh. For the first 10 days i used to dose Seachem flourish excel. As i am using Pressurised CO2 , i thought seachem would be of little use. But now the time has come to use it. :)

Thank you nicpapa. i was changing water on weekly basis. Now i will do 3 day cycle.

Thank you Rardeva. tank size is 2*1*1 ft (15 gallon). I will do the same to remove major portion of algae.

Thanks Lucasgg. I bookmarked the page.

    Hi @keithgh ,
Thanks for your interest. Most of the algae is under control now. Few stems melted due to excess dosing. And remaining plants are doing good. I will share my water parameters this Sunday.
