    John I suggest you open a new topic in Introduction and tell us about your self and your experiences with Aquascaping.

    It would be a lot easier if I had a full front on photo so I can it in more detail as there are several points that require your attention.

    Can I also have a complete list of all the inhabitants in your tank please.

    I am not an experienced aquascaper i am a good aquatic gardener i want to believe :) i have been in the hobby for 7 years with all kinds of plants and fight with all kind of algae in my tanks:)
    I want your suggestions to improve this tank, i did the hardscape in just an hour with just what i find in my storage because i had a leak on the silicone and i had to take everything out i gave my plants and i had the fish in a very small aquarium to give them away but as soon i fixed the leak i changed my mind and did this in an hour or two.
    I have in mind to put more plants like bolbitis heudeloti, anubia micro, and trident java fern.

    The pH and temp are both a bit low but if the tank is working well leave it alone.

    I would be doing 2 x 35% water changes a week

    The red plant back RH corner I would bring it forward and position it about where the Neon is front LH corner.

    The two heavy peaces balance each other but the heavy RH piece "Could look better in the back RH corner area, this will break up the framed look.

    Over all I like what you are doing.

    Thanks keithgh I ll try the tip with the wood and the red plants:) when there is time. I m already doing 3*30% water changes (I think I am the only guy worldwide that enjoys water changes :) it relaxes me ) .About the ph I think that my tetras love the acidic ph and the temp is now 24c cause is winter and I m doing that cause I want the fish to feel the seasons, you know winter spring summer etc do you thing this is wrong?
    About the ferts any tip ? I haven't start yet fertilizing cause my plants looks great and I postponed it everyday,do you think I have to start ferts;

    If your fish are healthy its all OK in the wild they would have more of an even tropical climate but today those fish have no knowledge of the wild.

    Ferts all I every used was Seachem Fert Tabs and Seachem liquid Ferts.

    Not the cheapest but I never had a problem and if I did there is always Seachem you can contact.

    If you are not careful you will have an over grown jungle very soon, my suggestion would be light regular trimming to encourage a controlled growth.

    It could be several things.

    Over feeding, not enough water changes 2X30-40%, fertilizers and lighting.

    Can you tell us what you are doing re all the above please.
