That's something I've honestly never considered, I don't think there's really anything you can do other than make sure the base is screwed to the floor or the base is wider than the tank?

the base is wider than the tank itself so i was thinking it will be good enough, but i wonder what about the tank itself...

Hmmm. I know a lot of people who have regular rumbles in japan tend to use either tiny tanks or if they have bigger ones they use acrylic. I don't know much about earthquakes but in an earthquake severe enough to make a tank fail I'm pretty sure my tank would be the last thing on my mind. I dunno. I'm kinda hoping someone more knowledgeable than me chimes in with a better suggestion, the closest thing to an earthquake my tank has to contend with is my sisters massive arse bumping into it.

    thank you nice to know.

in my set up using smaller tanks 10 to 15gallons, in many occassions after planting, i pour my new tank using old water
coming from my old set up tank...sounds funny but it works for me even if i apply the normal 8hours photo period.IMHO:)

As mentioned before, hack down some of that glosso piling up in layers, give a little definition to plants in back putting them in tighter groups.

And if you would like, I strongly suggest you tweak your hardscape a bit. Maybe lay the larger rock below the wood to give an impression of a strong base rockwork. Again its all upto you..

Day 37, today is the 5th day i transfer my beloved puffer to this beautiful tank, and today became his last day.
i think we sometimes take things for granted, puffer might be the only fish that stay with me the longest time. i will never have another puffer fish just like him.

CO2 or nutrient deficiencies for your plant deformities. What is your fertilizing schedule like? You may need to turn up your CO2.
