So I went to the fish store and got my dry start started. I also ordered a Finnex Stingray Planted Plus 24/7 and it will be here Saturday. Here are some pictures. I have the substrate soaked enough so you can just see it in the low spots of the substrate. I got micro chain sword as well, and am trying it with the dry start.

    Two points I notice.
There appears a lot of spaces between the plants especially the lower levels. Seeing that it "could" take longer to give you a full carpeting effect.

All the plants above the lower substrate might have to be misted more often being higher the Substrate could start to dry out faster.

A member who is experienced in the DSM could have more practical information for you.

It's looking pretty nice! Just keep an eye on the higher plants and adjust according to their needs.

Yes. I was planning on misting the topmost plants a lot more then the bottom, pretty much 4 or 5 times a day. The dwarf baby tears is starting to yellow a bit. Is this normal? It was grown immersed so...

I've filled it in so the leaves are just above the surface of the water. Its not misting up live I've seen people's do. Do I have to big a gap? I have the cling wrap on the back side rolled back about 1/4 inch for gas exchange. Is that enough, not enough, or too much?

I saw something that said you completely enclose, then air out once a day. I completely cling wrapped it closed after blowing into it with a fan. Now its all misted up.

4-5 times a day is too much for water. Only mist if you see it starting to dry out. If the sides of the tank are all misted up you should be good. As weeks pass you might get some mould and tank will need longer air periods, mine did. Keep water level below the AS at all times. I used a 12hr photo period all lights on max.

My understanding and looking at photos the water level is not seen its either at the top of the substrate or just under remember it's name Dry Start Method/

That is certainly too much why are you doing this?

Its going to be impossible to mist up when its not enclosed.

Culprit I have only one question did you do enough research first then check with a member who understands and has satisfactorily completed the DSM?

It looks like while I was replying Zeus had posted an excellent reply for you.
Zeus is one of the members you should have been checking with first.

Remember this bit of information it looks like its one of those "Could" happen.

I was going to do that for the slope, but if it stays damp I won't need to do that. In that case I will probably just mist every morning. So close it up completely then air out once a day for gas exchange? And only mist if it gets dry. If I start getting mold, then open the tank up for longer. I'm getting my 24/7 planted plus tomorrow, should I put it on the 24/7 mode, or set it on max for 12 hours?

Some of my dwarf baby tears is turing a little brown, is that normal for a transition from immersed to emersed?

Baby tears (HC) never used it. It is the choice of many a newbie. Hard to grow as a carpet. Looks great when successful. Not the easiest to get right.
Take it you used the tropica 1 2 as that's perfect for DSM. My DSM just grew. Remember no aglea issues so maxlight

I was basically making sure I had everything right. I will definitely try baby tears out, and if they don't work then dwarf hairgrass will be my next pick.

What do you mean Tropica 1 2?

SInce I'm getting the finnex 24/7 today, should I put it on 24/7 mode, or on max for 12 hours?

Looks like you are heading for a good start. Zeus has had experience in the DSM and with that light he certainly would be the member to follow.

I started getting white hairy mold on the bottom, so I left it open for a day, and now its gone. I misted once this morning, after closing it all night, and then left it open this morning for 3 hours or so.
