Very nice and pleasing hardscape it is. But choose background plants wisely so the wood structure will not be covered/shadowed by plants.

    All the best!! :proud:

No,it's not prunus. The woods were found on a mountain(and the stones too),near the place where I live:they're branches and roots of beech (Fagus sylvatica),they have been under the snow for years.I really love them:I think you'll never find anything similar in a shop.

Wonderful piece of work you have there! This kind of scape is what im going to try next time. And extra points for using "real" material for the hardscape, you really nailed the natural look. But...i can see a couple of plants that is kinda red and i think you should use green plants only in this scape. I will follow your work now, thats for sure!

Yes, I added some stems of Ludwigia arcuata and Proserpinaca palustris: the previous scape that I made in this tank was completely green, this time I needed some spots of color. In any case I do not know yet what will be the direction in which the tank will go: when a I start a new project I like to sit, watch and wait until the plants growth, the scape itself suggest the right choices(I'm very lazy:">).

Very nice layout. I think you have the right attitude to wait and see how it develops. The hardscape is very strong with all the character in the wood so it looks to me you need some of the wood to stand on it's own and not be diluted by too many background plants.

Hey, thats not lazy, thats smart! Hurry...is a bad word in aquascaping.
So, sit down and watch and feel the scape growing and when your fingers get itchy then you go for the scissors.

Wow hoangnam55,I think it is too early to make comparisons, in any case if I could do a tank as great as the examples you've shown I would of course be happy:loco:.

your hardscape is just as good as in the examples shown by Hoangnam.
With the right selection and placement of plants the scpae has massive potential.
I agree with J House on keeping the wood clear of background plants.

    Regards James
