    Your Altums apear to be Pterophyllum altum x pterophyllum scalar or Pterophyllum altum x scalar..Its confusing I know:(


    Pterophyllum altum
    Are from the Orinoco region this is why I ask sense they come from different body's of water and look different.

    it's so beautifull and with the angel fish it's an over dimension. congratulation :proud:

    if you want to see the difference bettwen perou scalare and altum look the personnal tank of amano , it is altum . there is more strips and the body are a mix of yellow and green. so beautifull but so rar now. since two years i try to have it for a tank.

    Looking great! Given time it will look better. They broad leaves that you have planted will encourage the angel fishes to lay their eggs there. Don't worry about other fishes eating the eggs. The mother angel will protect the eggs. I used to breed angel fishes. All the best for your future angel fries.

    What ever species those angels are they're absolutely gorgeous. The tanks brilliant too, the only thing I can suggest is moss on the wood.
