hey guys thanks for your reply. I am using a pressurised co2 Sera system. I used their drop checker you can see it on the right in the earlier images, but took it off as the color wasnt changing even after having it there for nearly a week. Plus there was a deposit of a slimy white cotton like substance which looked like algae to me all over the drop checker. I am guessing coz it contained some sort of chemical that attracted it.
I'll wait another week before adding another 90W like you suggested. Thanks will keep you guys posted...

I do not have Sera drop checker, so I do not know what the instruction said. but in general, you need to use kH = 4 water instead of your tank water. In order to check whether the drop checker working or not, you can take it out from the tank and wait for couple of hours, it should turn to blue.

hey guys just realized the hairgrass in the tank is mainly Japanese HG. I had asked for a few pots of Japanese HG & more of the standard HG but i guess they got it vice versa.
DO Japanese HG spread as well as the standard HG??
Why is my Vivipara in a mess? it isn't like the vivipara photos i see online hehe?? Its all entangled within each other a bit of a mess but growing quite decently...

well, this might be so :)
Last time I kept HG it was almost traight with no curls.
Somehow I like the curly effect - looks lush and soft. Give it some more time to grow and it will fill in stronger ;)

yes it is vivipara. It is normal vivipara always messy, you need to comb them before photo shoot :))

Japanese HG is curly, normal HG just straight.

hey guys my 500g/17.6oz sera co2 tank is over in 25days roughly.....would like to know how much do you guys pay to refill a tank of similar size?
Also my supplier says he's unable to provide liquid CO2 so i am guessing i would be getting it in a gas form..any differnce???

normally you will get CO2 in gas form. I'm read somewhere that you should get the food grade one instead of industrial grade. Industrial grade is less pure, not sure how true :p
