Do you find they need dither fish or are they relatively brash? I know a lot of people over here say they require a dither.

What requires dither fish? Not clear on what you are asking.

Celestial pearl danios (CPD's ) are fish.

Sorry I should be clearer, CPD's are meant to be super timid and need another fish with them that's more bossy to get them to stop hiding.

Botia sidthimunkii perhaps. But that will have to wait till the grass grows in dense and can provide more cover for the shrimp.

Update, just look at all those Celestial pearl danios. All 40 of them just out swimming. Even with this design, those damn fish hide and it's just a ghost tank.
Well, I'm getting rid of them.

Grass keeps getting thicker and thicker, still only about 1/2 way, but the general look is already there:

Glorious layout. Three sides is not easy to scape but I really like what you have done. Your grass is growing very nicely.

loving the scape. really turned out nicely. sometimes having very little amount of species of plants can go a lonnngg way.

It's coming together nicely, have you trimmed into it or is it just a slow burner scape? I found my E.belem went like a rocket.

Not trimmed yet, Belem really does not need trimming really.

I could do it to stimulate more growth later perhaps.

CRS SSS shrimp are doing very well, they stand out nicely against the grass.
    Brass/gold tetras also look nice.

    Much more suited than CPD's.

    Trying some new light photoperiods.

I reduced it to 6 hours and see how this goes, the CO2 is on for 5 hours.

Reflections, dirty glass etc...........you get the idea though.
Sorry, most of the CRS are hiding.

Tank has never been trimmed once and I've clean inside of the glass 1-2X since it was set up. About 100 Gold tetras, 40 CRS SSS grades.......maybe 10 Amano's and one pitbull pleco for glass cleaning.

Wow, very very nice looking. I was wondering what kind of substrate you were using?
