This a minor re-scaped version of my 2008 ADA entry.

Will look nice in 2-3 weeks once the Rotala and Blyxa have filled the background.

Ah, your missing out Guillermo! The picture is working for me, and it looks awesome. George was this shot taken after a water change or do you normally get that amount of pearling on your plants?

    Thanks, all!

    Hi John

No, this is normal pearling after a few hours with my current lighting/fert regime.

    I'm running 4 x 24w HO T5 (>6wpg), so it's a lot of light.

Normally I run just the two tubes for 8 hours, but I'm pushing to knock out another finished 'scape before I go to Afghanistan for 4 months from July... :plane:

    So I run 3 hrs @ 3wpg), 4 hrs @ 6wpg, 3 hrs @ 3wpg.

I've upped CO2 and ferts too, of course.

CO2 is a Rhinox 1000 into filter inlet, ferts are 5ml Tropica Plant Nutrition per day, 2x 50% water changes per week.

As I say, it's overkill, but I want super fast growth.

They are black neons. I've just added some Flame tetras that are pretty cool.

A couple of Rotala rotundifolia stems from a friend's tank.

They're growing in nicely as we speak.

    Thanks, everyone!

I've added 12 of these Flame tetra, Hyphessobrycon flammeus, into my 60cm.

I wanted to add some more red but without the gawdiness of some other red tetras.

The tank will be kept running for my 4 months overseas with help from my daughters and close friends. My nano is being adopted for 4 months by a friend.

As usual, you have a wonderful looking tank. I was wondering what you are using as a foreground plant, I recognize the downoi, but what is the other?
