    Hi guys,
As some of you might allready know I had some bad luck with my Dennerle Cube, do not mistake with the "Friendship" Dennerle Cube, this one is not mine, I only helped setting up this tank.
My next attempt on nano will be a 40x20x20cm sized tank.
Today I received 10kg Minilandscape rock and some pieces of Malaysian driftwood aka "ADA Old Black Wood".
In this tank will also use a sort of No-Name "NatureSoil" , should be the same but cheaper >:)

After few hours playing with the hardscape a came up with this

ah, nice jur4ik. another tank! your more busy than me 8)

how many pieces of wood are you using? looks like 4?

if it's 4, you could possibly move one so the angle comes towards back or front glass to try to create depth. or one coming from the centre.

also mate, if your having stems in there, try to imagine these stems in the future....the wood placement WILL dictate where you trim. so as it is now it's centre weighted.

let us know what plants you plan to use. it will change everything

    Yes Mark,
there are 4 pieces of wood, but I have more and will play with them for sure.

It will be my second "try new plants" tank, there will be some common plants too. As for now I want a HC karpet in the front area mixed with riccia and spotted with hairgrass. Somewhere I will give UG one more (last) chance. Gaps between the stones I want P.helferi to fill in. anubias nana (petite) attached around the the focal middle stone. now the focal point of the scape the gap between the "stag's antlers" (that might become the name of the scape) - unsure about what to place on top of the stone in the middle. anubias like in yours or java fern, or maybe bolbitis. Somewhere behind the stones but under the driftwood I want to place crypts and behind of them many different stems - need to learn how to handle them :D

    Some technical info:

    Filter: Eheim Ecco Pro 130
    Heater: Hydor Eth200
    Co2: pressurized with solenoid
    Substrate: No-Name Nature Soil
    Ferts: TPN+ & Easy Carbo
Lightning: 2x11 watt from Dennerle Nano Cube series

As for the lightning I´m undecided, could upgrade the lightnign to 3x11w or look out for something different, what do you think? looks kindaway strange with 3 lightning fixtures and 3x cables ...

Mini landscape rocks - you just reminded me that i need to order some 20kg... :)

I reminds me of my last scape using the same rocks and dw. I dont know if using anubias would blend in good, crypts sounds good though and the other plants too.

    Hey,

Imho its to symmetric and highest point of stones too central!
I kinda liked the first attempt better!

    Hey,

Now i like the 3rd try best. The only thing thats not perfect is the upper half! The stone arrangement is cool i think :)

Try the branched ones down and the straight ones up.

    OK jur4ik, i don't like
getting picky over hardscape, we all do it different...but.....i see one potential problem

the stone in the middle foreground (not the one holding wood together)

this will break your scape/foreground into 2.

plus with the wood to the left, once grown in it may look incorrect. just something to think about .;)

I personally like the layout depicted in the (#9) post from today, although I do agree with Kristoffer's comment about the wood in the left front center of the scape. They are very straight and might be distracting. I think it would also depend on what you plan to plant. Plant growth and maybe a few small rocks can possiblly offset the straight wood.

hm.. I suggest you number each wood so that it is easier to comment ;)
I still find it to be symmetrical. How about layout at post #10 but the shorter wood on the right pointing to the front?
