The height of my aquarium is 22 inches. its a 42"x22"x15" tank i have 5 21W T5s in it. i have noticed that my foreground, glosso, is growing very slowly. what lighting should i add so that light will reach the bottom part of the tank?
I have a 4' x 2' x 2' tank. I use the tek t5 fixture with 6 54 watt T5 bulbs, 6700K. 4 are on for a 12 hour period, and the other two come on in the middle of that time for four hours. The bulbs have individual reflectors causing all of the light to be pointed downward, and there is no glass or cover over the top of the tank. The fixture hangs about 3 or 4 inches from the water surface. My glosso is growing just fine and my plants are pearling like crazy. MH is a good choice for penetration, but I am getting fine results with T5 on my foreground cover with over 24" in light height.
