Its going upstairs, the picture is from the basement. The red market out is where the tank is going.
The tank is 325gal !!!
Its going to be 3500lbs !!! Full and setup.
Do I need to support the joists or will I be okay. Its a brand new house, only 3 years old.
The other pic is just my 75 gal, to show im not a total noob. Lol

There is no easy answer and it's difficult to assess off a photograph. I have seen huge domestic water tanks in lofts and roofs paces but most of the roof trusses were manufactured to specific load bearing capacity. If it was me with a tank of that volume seek a professional building engineer for a assessment. Might be a cost but hey less likely have a disaster

I imagine asking for a professional opinion would be the same price as the jack post. I'm sure if anything 1 or 2 posts would be fine.
I can get 1 for like 120 canadian. So its not too bad. But at the same time, thats money I may not have to spend. My friend who builds house says he's never seen a joist break and that ill be fine. But yeah.. i want to be 100% sure

You could, l know them as acros instead of Jack's,have studded timber frame in th basement underneath which would support instead of props and could convert into a small storage room
