I would like to create a sticky for the local club section that contains information regarding..local and regional clubs.

Feel free to post your club information (or others) to this thread. Please use the template below.

Malayasian Aquascaping Club (MAC)

General information about the Club
The MAC club is dedicated to the creation of beautiful planted tanks and everything needed to maintain one including its inhabitants. Members meet together to trade plants, participate in local aquascaping competitions such as the Mac Nano Competition, and they come together to partipate in aquascaping and planted aquarium workshops.

SCAPE is a regional club that extends as far north as the Los Angeles Area to as far south as San Diego. They hold regular club meetings where they hold plant swaps, planted aquarium presentations, and the occasional mini aquascape competitition. SCAPE is a club that is forever growing and working to bring together So.Cal Aquascapers.

Michigan Aquatic Plant Group (MiAPG)

General information about the Club

MiAPG also known as the Michigan Aquatic Plant Group, is a group of hobbyists that share common interests in the Planted Aquarium hobby. In our group, each unique hobbyist, ranging from those just starting out, to seasoned professionals and everyone in between will be able to gather and share information with one another in regards to the Planted Aquarium hobby. We feel that keeping Planted Aquaria is a great addition to the home, but also the aquatic plants serve as a home and a comfort for the inhabitants of the Planted Aquarium. We encourage anyone who has any interest to get involved by registering on our discussion forums to learn more about the Planted Aquarium hobby. Don't worry, we are a nice and friendly community, and provide a welcoming atmosphere!

PAPAS is the Pittsburgh Area Planted Aquarium Society


We strive to:
  • provide a forum of fellowship for the sharing of our common interest in aquatic gardening.
  • provide support and guidance to hobbyists of all skill levels through the free exchange of information, experience, and ideas.
  • promote the cultivation of aquatic plants for the pleasure of their scientific study; to improve understanding of growing techniques and to maintain a diversity of aquatic plants available to the hobby.

- We tend to the development and diffusion of the ichthyology and aquarium maintenance.
- To inform, investigate and protect for all the aquatic ecosystems of Argentina and especially of the Paraná river;
- Establishing an environment of friendship in which the associates find the most suitable conditions to develop aquarium activities in all their forms;
- Promoting the habits of study, work and investigation, to whose effects resources will be utilized such as courses, chats, seminars, conferences, organization of library, database and any another lawful middle;
- To promote and to organize expositions, conferences, contests and any another legal act that consider purpose the best knowledge of the diverse forms in which the aquatic life is declared
- Be compromised in every lawful activity in defense of the natural courses of water, the aquatic life every form protection and the diffusion of the dangers caused by the contamination.

LAFF meets on the last Sunday afternoon of the month, usually in the San Fernando Valley area. Sometimes we meet in member's homes to see their aquariums or at various fishy places around town.

General information about the Club
Coast meets monthly on the first sunday of the month. Its a general fish club thats been know to fly in speakers several times a year. They cover the basic fish keeping to the most advanced breeding. A few note worthy speakers coast has brought in this year alone:
