There's an LFS selling this kind of lighting system here in the Philippines and it's quite new here.I'm interested on this:
2 feet Long Casing 2 pcs 24-watt T5 light tubes Available in Actinic, 12000K daylight Electronic Ballast Anyone here ever tried using this? Also the bulbs available are only actinic and 12000K.Is 12000K applicable to planted tanks? Thanks. |

I have an Odyssea/Jebo CF combo from a few years ago still working. I know other people have problems with them burning out prematurely. I'm not sure if the same applies to the T5 lamp which you're getting.
Actinic = wasted light 12000K = fine for plant growth, but can wash out plants in terms of appearance (imagine a photo overexposed). -John N.
