Can anyone give me an explanation on thses setups other then T5's are thinner then T8's? what would i need to do to get 2 T8's to encourage plant growth?? other then getting T5's?

im not a genius here about t5 and t8 but i use t8 since theyre more affordable but t5 are better! theyre more expensive but offer more watts for the size, like lets say a 18w t8 bulb is about 60cm, for that same length you can get 22w, im not sure about the wattage proposals, but it gives you an idea and t5s are better for tnaks taller than 50cm and will be excelent for lower tank of course

Length: 79 Width: 34 Depth: 44 Distance of light source from gravel: 40
Lighting requirements Low light plants:47.68 watts Low-medium light plants:71.52 watts Medium-bright light plants:107.29 watts Bright light plants:160.93 watts Apparently thats what Lighting my plants need is this true??Last edited by stripeygourmai; 11-23-2009 at 08:30 PM..
