Hello to everyone in aquascaping world. I've been searching the net and came across to your site. I'm glad to have found it! I will be starting a planted tank soon and need all the information and suggestions on how to succeed in it.

Hi and welcome
Well - start with not filling water in it. Thats the best start in my opinion. Try to look for something you like - see the AGA/ADA aquascaping contest pictures or something, or look at the showcase here. Its a good start to copy something. Of course read the magazine as well. Many good photos there as well. Then start planning how to do it and ask for help in the aspiring aquascapers section.

Hello Richard, glad you found us! There's tons of stuff to learn from here. Definitely check out the showcase sections, and journals. That will give you a good idea of what's needed and where to start a planted aquarium. Please feel free to use the forums as much as you want. We're here to help, and lots of people love sharing their hobby.
