Found this site yesterday and I'm stoked. I'm brand new to the aquascaping world and looking forward to learning all I can from you, the pros! I've got 3 30 gallon aquariums with bleheri and anacharis growing. One is a community tank with 5 neons, 2 corys, 3 paltys, 2 black skirt tetras and an oto cat. The other 2 have 2 corys each and want to add blue rams and discus to them. What inexpensive plants can I purchase to add to these tanks to begin my journey in aquascaping?

![]() I find the best place to get new plants for my aquariums are the plant/fish forum marketplaces. You can get better deals and more often than not the plants have been better cared for than what you would find at a LFS.

jmorgan, I highly recommend checking out the different showcases and journals to get a feel for what plants look good and appeal to you. Thereafter check out our marketplace or other forums classified areas, and you'll find lots of good plants from fellow hobbyists.
Commericially, you may want to also check out Aqua Botanic Aquarium Plants Sales and Library for plants and Planted Aquarium Products | CO2 Regulator | Green Leaf Aquariums for equipment. Some easy plants and slow growing plants to get you started include Java Fern, Crypts and Anubias. Lots of things you can do with those plants. Welcome to ASW! ![]() -John N.
