Default Hiya!

Hi everyone! Found this forum through a banner in someone's signature from The Planted Tank. Good to see some familiar names here! Really happy to have found you all.

I'm going to be redoing my 20 gallon long after a losing battle with planaria and algae and am hoping to find some inspiration here to make it even better than it was before. Might even do a journal this time around.

Good to see everyone!

Best regards,
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

Can't wait to see your new journal. Even through the ups and downs of an aquarium, there's much to learn from the experience. Plenty of folks here to help you along your way too.

I have to ask, I get the "fishlover" part of your screen name, but have to wonder about the prefix "stl". I'm thinking to myself, "steal fishlover", but that can't be right. Any special meaning to the letters?

Boy, ain't that the truth! I've had aquariums since I was a young girl, but only recently starting enjoying the natural look of plants and wood and the absolute beauty you can create with aquascaping.

I've learned so much just by reading forums and the experience and woes of others. I've also learned it's better to QT plants you receive as well as fish no matter the source or you could end up with battles that you aren't prepared for. You just never know what little things might decide to hitchhike along with some lovely plants!

stl = St Louis ... I live about 40 miles NW of StL ... have been a Missouri gal most my life.

Hello Michelle... Welcome to ASW I know sometimes I've felt like giving up, but I just love this hobby too much.
