I have been coming on here to read the articles and checking out the fantastic pictures while at work. Can I just say, what a great place to get a little taste of zen?
Haven't really gotten a tank yet, mostly because I get overly distracted, and excited; just want to get my hands on all kinds of tanks! Though, I am going to start with something small. Looking at a >10 gallon glass tank. And slowly getting the equipment together. For years I have been creating habitats and mini ecosystems in my neighborhood as part of the community initiatives, so I am comfortable with 'scaping. Though, It's a little intimidating to work with scaping in a new medium. What do you mean I have to avail CO2?! ![]() So here I am, learning along the way and hopefully exchanging ideas with y'all. I apologize in advance for future questions on issues that I really should know by now. ![]() |

Welcome to ASW!
DCMarathoner, you're in a great position to develop your planted aquarium the right way by reading all the material and threads before you dive into your tank. When I first started I was so excited I bought everything under the sun and unfortunately found out the hard way ($$$) that the marketing product descriptions aren't always true. So definitely read up, and learn from the excellent group of hobbyists here. Feel free to ask as many questions as you go. -John N.
