I friend sent this to me and posted this on APC as well. Its cool, check it out. FYI, I will have the 17mm or 5/8 inline diffuser instock by Monday!
The first ever, even before Cal Aqua has them!

there are alternative reactors you can place outside the tank - lots of them are available on ebay - ofcourse they didnt look such noble as the one above. but you can hide them in the cabinet

Many of people build PVC reactors that work great. I build my own PVC reactors and they are much cheaper. The problem is the loss of filter flow. These gems minimize that by much more then your average reactor. I will post up pictures Monday of the new 17mm model.

IME a glassceramic diffuser combined with a reactor is a good combo. The CalAqua type is cool and something i would consider. I have made 2 DYI reactors with the excact type of ceramic diffusers like orlando sells, and they are very much worth trying.

The combo of good diffusion from the reactor and the microbubbles from the diffuser is something i would stride to acheive. So even if you buy the CalAqua of put a diffuser in your reactor you get some of the same advantages.
