This is only small info from ADA about number of applications and countries, nothing more. For "names" you must wait to end of June.

Well...i hope that level of our entries will be high . No matter "how many" if you don't take place on podium....but small satisfacion that we are stronger in Europe or even from "no Asian" representation is good enough

Good luck for everyone. My entry was poor but who knows...maybe i take place in top100

Guillermo ...Jeff Senske don't sell ADA goods from US to Mexico?

crstn_savu...Life is hard , in Poland Amazonia cost about 33 Euro+shipping...but lot of people say

Norbert ... ADA products can only be purchased on line and paying the high shipping costs (specially on substrates due to weight) Some fellow hobbyists made a purchase some months ago, each bag of Amazonia II costed them around 65 U.S. Dollars. We are trying to reach a guy who lives in the border to see if he can send us some ADA.

Regards

I'm really surprised there are only 12 entries from the United Kingdom. I've seen a number of great scapes from this area. What happened UK-ers?

I think quality not quantity matters. LOL. It seems my country 2nd most. You know what they say- throw as much as you can at the wall and see how many stick.

I can't say my scape is good this year. Been too busy experimenting but looking forward to seeing more fantastic scapes.

Its interesting that Poland can draw more entries than the whole of US...

I guess its what we discussed about the availabilities of ADA goods...

(And no - its not me who entered from denmark...)

For what concerns France, I would say that, even though aquascaping is slowly getting more and more popular, the number of hobbyists remains very small... and among this small community, many think that ADA contest level is too high for them to enter.

Last year, 30 French people entered the ADA contest but this was due to the fact that all participant to our French CAPA contest ([Portail de l’association AquAgora]-) had automatically one of their tanks submitted to ADA.

Hmm..that's strange. You have your own CAPA contest and i saw there some nice work. In Poland we don't have national contest....but maybe our community is stronger. There is some aquascapers here that "keep push it", shows his works on forum, personal websides and maybe thats why this year people in Poland belive that they can make it .

Of corse one good layout on podium is better than even 100 in end ...

You're right Norbert, there are some nice tanks, as you know (for those who don't know, Norbert was member of our jury for last year's contest ), but not that many...

A small national contest like ours is not that difficult to set up and is a good way to draw the public's attention. I'm surprised there is no in an "aquascaping country" like Poland.

That's what we try to do with our "Paysages Aquatiques" team, but it takes time... There's still time to wait until we have 63 entries in the ADA contest ...

We are spoken about contest in Poland about 3-4years? We are spoken, spoken, spoken and...nothing happen. There was 1-2small contest organized by some company but no one from TOP don't enter...
Bigest and most popular contest was organized by Adam Paszczela from ADA Poland. This was photo contest "Shrimps in our Lenses" (published info in AquaJournal from May-June) and in first edition was over 200 aplication. Contest was wery popular because prizes was IMO unique. This weren't standard prizes like plants, fish food but you could win for example: 3x9l Amazonia, Frodo stone 25kg, Frodo stone 15kg or 3x9lAmazonia+2lPS+25kg Manten Stones etc. Youngest contester win extra prize: Takashi Amano book with his autograph ...
