Keeping things light a bit, what kind of responses do you get from your house guests about your aquascapes? Depending on how well you aquascape, these responses should be pretty fun and interesting.
For me, the typical response is "Wow John..., How come your glass is covered in green slime?" Doh! ![]() -John N.

That's a good one John, LOL !
There are "common" comments on my 82, some friends and relatives say ... "Why don't you put fish in the tank ?" I say, there are more than 50 !!! and they reply..."yeah, but they are way too small ! I say "Those fish are fine, my goal is to keep plants healthy" About the aquascape..... when I get there, maybe they'd say something different, lol. Cheers

"wow, can you make me one"
"Sure" not a prob, but then when you tell them, Sure for, entry level is going to run you about $500, and for that one you are looking at, just to get set up, probably $2000. (Of course there are El Natural and smaller things that can get them going for cheaper, but they want the big ones and RED plants and all the stuff, cause that is what they are looking at) they go "NEVER MIND" The ones that say, I could do $500, I tell them about water changes and dosing, and trimming and the money and time investment to keep it looking good and they usually say "My head hurts now, forget about it" Now there are a few that look at my JBJ picotopes and think they are the coolest things and I tell them where to get them and I have all the stuff to set it up and get it going and I will give them shrimp and all the good stuff and they are Jazzed, and all like "Dude, for sure, I will get one next week and you can come over and get it going, for sure dude, 100%" But do they ever get one for me to set up, NO!!!

#1 question is "Is it salt or fresh water?"
#2 is "Those are REAL plants?"

I've heard a lot of what every one has said already especially about the saltwater question! I have also had a couple of folk ask about my "algae" and "why do I let it grow like that?" Refering to my lush HC carpet!!!! Also have heard "So this is all 'real' algae right?" My response is, "well, they're plants but whatever... UFC starts in 15 mins!
