Default ADA Old Black Wood...What tree does it come from?

I'm just curious if anyone know what type of tree ADA's wood comes from. I would like to be able to collect pieces of wood that sink on their own, and I think if I knew what kind of wood old black wood is I could maybe find something similar in the states.

Thanks,
Creighton

Water dams are one of the best places to collect wood from, specially near forested areas.

This is another great mystery of ADA products. I'm not sure where exactly they get their wood from both in origin and tree type. But at $10 per lb it sure is expensive.
