setup and logging direction for windows users:
1.simply type in a random name and email (does not have to be real) and type in
your desired Nickname for the chat room, as well as an alternative choice. and
voila you're done.

2. our channel is located on the chatspike server. You could connect via 2 methods:
a) you could type /server irc.chatspike.net at your status window and it should
connect you upon pressing the enter key

b) you could also go to FILE tab -> select a server -> and select any one of the
chatspike servers you see in that list. they will all work.

3.join the the Planted Tank Chat channel by:
for windows user:
a) go to the commands tab on top, and select Join Channel, then type in

ptchat and hit enter
b) or you can simply type /j #ptchat at the status window or a room you're
currently under.
either of these will take you to our room

for MAC, i would just follow the same direction. it might be slightly different,
but it's fairly simple to figure out. like i said, this is a very user friendly
program.

hey jur4ik, i talked to John about this chat room on irc.
this chat can be accessed by web and by irc so hopefully it will attract enough people so we can finally have an aquascape chatting community!!

irc really does help in terms of building and sustaining a chatting community, that's why i am a strong advocate of it. with irc, people can easily stay logged in and not have a web browser opened at all time.

however, at the moment I only can look once per day into it so I will accept Johns decision
