I like to have it in print. But with a PDF file I can do it my self.

Have you thought about taking money for membership to download the magazine?
Something like barrreport.

How often do you plan to send out an issue? Monthly? That would be nice.

Are you interested in articles? I got tons of stuff im making, already got and planned.

This will be a monthly issue.

If you would like to donate there is a Paypal link on the homepage. AquaScaping World Magazine - March 2008 - Issue 1

I'm sure John would appreciate it. So far he has done all this on his own dime.

I've looked over the articles, but haven't had the time to read them throughly. I've impressed with what I've seen so far. I look forward to many more issues.

I would love to put AquaScaping World Magazine into print, but it would be very costly for everyone who would want one. When we get bigger and there is a lot more interest I think we'll consider printed the magazine in a professional format. For now, if anyone wants a professional publication to happen, we really need to get the word out and peak an interest in the AquaScaping World Magazine.

Charging a subscription to download the magazine is a thought to consider, but I would really like to have it readily available to everyone for free. I'm trying keep ASW and the magazine a site built by hobbyists from the ground up. I don't want to dip into your wallets via privilege subscriptions to accomplish that though.

It is my hope future advertising sponsorships will help offset the large financial costs of creating and maintain this site to keep it free. And as Roy mentioned above, community support and their donations will help me keep ASW going strong.

ASW Magazine will be readily available each month. You can sign up to receive an email via the subscription module when a new issue is posted.

It's a great piece of work. Very clean layout, good articles.

Over time it may be difficult to keep up with 6 articles a month, I'd be happy with 3 or 4.......

Is there a way to set the PDF file to open the pages "side by side" so you get the feel of a 'magazine'?

After everything good has been said, I guess I have some critiques that could make the next issue a little bit cleaner.

1) You have a few typos, ie: somewhere in the Table of Contents
2) Some pictures don't have the correct size ratios, ie: fish look stretched
3) Some photos are high resolution while others appear blurry, even at only 150% magnification.
4) In Adobe Acrobat Professional, it's possible to create "Links". By that, I mean that the reader can click on the title of the article in the ToC and get linked directly to that page in the PDF document. A nice feature, especially if you plan to keep this in PDF format only.

And again, you have a clear "ditto!" on all the positive things that have been said. Just wanted to point out some things that could make this magazine even better in the future!

Epicfish, this is really good feedback, and we'll take a closer look at the editting process to address those issues mentioned above in the upcoming issues. Thank you!
