Ok, I finally got the courage to take a pic. It still needs a background and a better light. Still waiting for the Windelov fern to fill in the back left corner. Everything else is doing awesome...

I've added snowball shrimps which have reproduced. I also have some pregnant green shrimp in there too....

I started dosing a couple drops of flourish and a drop of excel. I pulled out some hair algea in the hairgrass. There are A lot of baby shrimp in there.... prob gonna take out some adults to breed in a different tank. I will do the same w/ the green shrimp as soon as I see some babies. Still trying to figure out the new camera and how to get some good pics. I changed the light to two 13w spiral compacts.

Farizal - The black trash bag background doesn't look bad IMO. Just depends on the look you are going for. It adds some texture. I use it on most of my tanks. I can't stand photo backgrounds.

Looks good, is the water cloudly or is that just the pic. Anyway I really like the fern/wood combo on the left. I liked the rocks better in the middle when they were covered with branches. I think the rock pile looks a little forced if you know what I mean. I'm using the same light on my mini-s as well. That c. parva I know it's suppose to be small, but I planted some in my larger tank and its hugh (at least 6" tall), unless I have a different species. Overall it's coming along quite nice.

The water is a little cloudy due to some stirred up sediment. I will be putting a mini canister on it soon. I felt the need to get rid of a lot of the willow moss along the back because it grew a little too wild for me. I may replace it with weeping moss. The crypt on the front right is actually (don't quote me) crypt willisii. I do have a crypt parva in there just in front of the "new" rocks. I thought the same thing about the rocks, they do look sloppy to me.

I would try to keep the E. triandra and the hairgrass separated, if not you'll have a huge invasive mess that will only be fixed by tearing up the foreground and replanting (from my experience at least).

The crypt in the front looks more like C. willisii x lucens - it can get large in different setups but in my nanos tend to stay reasonable in size.

I agree with Jhouse - the rocks in the middle could use some work - if you can arrange them so it looks like one or two rocks, rather than a rocks piled on each other that would look great.

yeah, when I was trimming it up last night, I tried to pull some of that hairgrass out, without ripping out some elatine triandra, but... to no avail. I'm not quite ready to rip up the foreground yet... If I do I'll probably remove the willisii and put a border to keep the hairgrass out somehow. I'd like to get the hydrocotyl to spread out toward the middle more tho, so I must rip some things out to change it up.
