cheers bastian. it does help having a nice camera.

heres an experiment with coloured backgrounds.

the colours rendered seem much more realistic to day light. i've used a very light blue.

Amazing photography skills, I'm awestruck when I see how healthy the plants look, I've never seen anubias as nice as yours, fish are cool, scape looks good, love the lighting system and this tank doesn't look like it has the tiniest bit of algae. WOW

The photography is extremely artistic and really coveys a feeling of freshness. I'm just awestruck. Great plant and fish selection, by the way, they go compliment each other well.

thanks guys

Time for an update,

a few things have happened, namely the disappearance of Alternanthera reineckii. the plant just didn't sit right within the scape. but in my defence this was only a practise tank!

so this is how it looked 1 week ago...

it's not that it wasnt in great health, it was. i just didnt like it.

The trimming...

and how it finally looks after a W/C. remember this is has been newly trimmed so theres no new crowns yet...you'll have to ignore the equipment too

many thanks for reading __________________

Yeah I like the light blue background a lot!! It's just a piece of paperboard right? Very nice.

Greets,

Bastian

not much to report, growth is good and the eco system within is very stable. 1 x w/c per week now without any problems.

a little GSA on anubias leaves but that has nearly gone after upping co2 and highering the light a little.

here's a couple of pics.

with external flash....

without...

i'm unsure whether to carry on with this scape, or start over again with a different style.
