A very sad and shocking morning Found 2 of my Endler's on my desk!!! I hate myself for not making a better cover for the tank

Vapour in the morning, this will reduce the effectiveness of the lighting.

Bought another piece of acrylic just now... this time will try to cover all holes.

Opening at the back as the acrylic can't cover the entire tank due to pipings and light fixture clamps.

I like that last pic you posted looks good. How are you going to cover those holes up? Didn't know those kind of fish really jump.

Will post a pix once the new acrylic cover is ready... maybe the Endler's were shocked by my giant Yamato

Did a slightly better tank cover this morning... although this 1mm thick acetate (previously I used 2mm thick acrylic) is much easier to cut using normal cutter... it is not as clear as acrylic... reducing some of my lighting I think I will continue to search for a solution.

Did a rescape yesterday... moved the bogwood with Spiky Moss to another holding tank... the constant yellowish water (tannin released by the wood) is the main reason.

Here's the new layout... what do you guys think?

I would move the driftwood in the corner kinda how the other driftwood was. I think the driftwood is taking away from those great rocks. I like how you have the rocks set up they look really good.

Thanks! Agree with you... the driftwood is getting a bit too much attention right now... perhaps my tank can do without it

Nice shot.
Now you need to take some plant pics to enter them in the contest

I think that might break up the focal point, but the focal point might be too close to centered, but in a cube of that size, what else can you do?
Plus the outflow is in the back left corner.
And with the wood sticking out that way, it brings the focus off the center of the tank IMO.

Another thought, once the red plants fill in, it will look much better and if the wood is moved, it will hide those reds.

IMO leaving the wood would be a mistake. Once the fern and red plant(Rotala Macranda species, I think)grow in the driftwood will be covered(Maybe that is desired here). If you do move it, move it so the tip of the wood is in the centre(A little to the right)of the tank: [ ! ]. Sorry for the crappy description.

Added 2 Blue Shrimps yesterday... I wonder if they consume the same kind of algae as Yamato (Amano).
