It looks like someone has got a ball and wrapped a specie of moss around it (dont get confused witht the moss ball (Cladophora aegagropila)

I have had Cladophora aegagropila getting lots of long strands of Clado all over it, looking a lot like that.
At less than 1/2 an inch, maybe it is a baby Cladophora aegagropila? I would expect to see some branching in the plant if it was a wad of moss, but that picture looks like lots of individual strands |
