I have what I think may some type of Ludwigia that I got at a plant swap. The tops of the plants, possible new growth, seem to be melting and falling off. Im attaching some bad pictures, but maybe theyll help a little. Maybe not enough light or co2?? The tank is a 30g with 65w of CFL, ph is around 8 which I know is high..
You can see in the middle of the plant where the leaves are brownish and sickly looking.

It might be the Seachem Excel excess combined with a big temperature in you aquarium. I asked you if you use CO2 yeas reactor because this has a very unstable reactions and because of that the pH changes very fast sometimes. This thing melts the plant... I had this problem.
