i have a 75g with a lot of crypts (mostly wendtii and spiralis) and a few assorted stem plants and i want something low growing to fill in the spaces. my lighting is 130w pc and 72w standard fluorescent for 202w total and i have diy co2 which consistently keeps me between 20 and 25 ppm. what i am considering is anubias nana petite, dwarf hairgrass, or micro sword. i would like something that is as small as possible, but also spreads quickly and will do well in these conditions. any advice?

Another option, would be Cryptocorynes parva. It has a low lying growth and but grows very slowly. But I can see it pairing well with your other crypt species. ![]() Cryptocorynes parva -John N.

thanks for all of the advice. unfortunately with the fish i have i don't think i could keep glosso down long enough to take, they are active scroungers and like to rearrange things. i picked up some anubias nana petite at my local fish club's swap meet and it is doing well. i am also going to throw some micro sword in and see how that goes. akmal, the marsilea hirsuta interests me very much, any idea of a good source online for it? i have never seen it around here.

in my experience, microsword is easy to uproot and can attract pretty icky algae, that being said, it is a very nice look on the rare days that it's clean and well rooted
Clover is much easier, but a broadleaf look not grassy like microsword.P.P. |
