I have always been fond of the look of dwarf hairgrass but have been unsuccessful with it in my tanks.

Hi,
I like to use crypt parva, HC and glosso...
In my tank I'm trying hairgrass and E.tennellus with good results.

Regards,

Joe Faria.

So far mine is HC. I got tired of fighting with glosso and hairgrass is a pain to replant (even more than HC, to me!).

I have found it loves sand! It can be difficult at first as it seems to attract algae. New growth is much healthier for me than the original plants. I like lots of different ones, but I guess the HC is my favorite.

I am a sucker for Dwarf hairgrass.
I like HC and now really like Dwarf Riccia as well.
I think that Downoi and Erio Cinereum are great as well if used properly.

I am giving CRASSULA HELMSII a try next

I am just starting a new tank with M. Minuta. Here is what my normal M. Quadrafolia looked like:

The Minuta is just starting to fill in, and is a lot smaller than the normal stuff. I am mixing it with dwarf hair grass for round one...

HC is best for me, in term of maintainance... once you get them covered in your foreground definitely there's no stopping them hahahaha

My favorite is E. tenellus 'narrow.' No trimming needed, and only gets 2-3" tall. Slow grower so takes patience to let it all fill in, though.

I really like the look of Elatine triandra, the casual HC and dwarf hairgrass are also some of my favorites.
