This is a great list of low light plants. Though this thread is probably not the place to discuss this, I'm very interested in learning more about the experiment you plan to run with your 55 gallon aquarium.

Does the list assume CO2 injection? IME most plants can be grown in low light with good CO2 and other nutrients.

Stargrass is a low light plant? Really?

I thought it was bright to very bright (Hiscock's Encyclopedia of Aquarium Plants).

It's going to be a prominent element in my soon to be tank, so I went and got 2 light strips..

What would happen to it under 220w (2.9 wpg) from T-5 fluorescents?

Does anyone have it in their tanks under that much light?

I have not HS in a planted tank, only in an emersed setup, but I've seen somewhere that in high lighted tanks it stays low, my .02. Let me see if I can find it.

Aldrovandra vesiculosa isn't a stem plant - I would classify it as a floating plant.....

i was looking at the plant catalogues and saw that they included juncus repens in the low light range. but i have been trying to rear this plant at medium light levels but to no avail.
