Depending on your plant list and what you may consider difficult, there are different requirements to keep the plants looking and growing healthy.
To me Alternanthera reineckii was a easy/moderate plant to keep. It needed plenty of light, micros and CO2 to maintain it's vibrant red coloration. Other plants that I deem hard such as Tonina species really need softer water to grow well. -John N.

excuse me, the plant not was Alternanthera reineckii , it have other name but I not remember the name. Today I bought 2 Alternanthera one bright red and other purple and more hard leaves. The plant difficult to me is green in one side and red- purple in the other side of the leaves. the top of the plant is all purple. Is a beautyful plant. I still have a another stem and change to more small all planted aquarium that is very balanced and well fertilized with excel and flourish.
