Default Black neons

I love these. They shoal very well in my 60cm and suit the 'scape nicely.

I agree, you dont' see them used very often. I've never had them but honestly prefer them over cardinals and blue neons.

Very nice school of black neons. I have a friend who has a big school of them in his tank, but I agree that you don't see them too often in scapes.

Thanks.

Jeff Senske used them in a 90cm Iwagumi.

Hmm.. Very nice looking fish!

They would look very nice in aquascapes where you wouldn't want to have the fish clash with the plants/hardscape....

I've seen these fish at LFS but never have been that interested in them. But your photo has definitely changed my view of them. Their colors are lovely!

These buggers do get overshadowed by their more colorful counterparts (Cardinal and Neon Tetras). I've seem them at the local Petsmart and Petco stores and always though about using them, but when placed side by side a Cardinal tetra holding tank, the Cardinal wins every time.

Great looking photo George, maybe I'll give these guys a chance. They seem to have a subtle appearance, and look pretty good in their schooling formation.
