When I first saw the tank I didn't realise it was so tiny till I saw this pic here. It looked at least 30% bigger. You make it look easy.

I saw from the article that you have room for photo tacking. Just wondering, did you scape the tank in that room or you have to cary it there when the tank mature?

You have a great studio! The setup looks very professional. Great tank too! If you dont place your hand beside it, it looks like 2ft to me.

The photo studio belongs to the magazine publisher that I write for.

I set up my 60cm English Summer 'scape in there for an initial step-by-step feature. Then I took the tank home to mature and photograph from there on, at home.

None of my other aquascapes have been photographed in a studio.

Hi George,

You are very modest and picked up some ideas. I find small tanks are easy to screw up and do agree that without plant growing knowledge, a nice scape is going to be hard to pull off.

do you fill your filters completly with filtermedia, or do you for example just fill it half?
Because some people say that too much filtration might use up some nutrients, especially iron,
and that would make it impossible to keep a stable amount of nutrients.

ElHiaso - I've never heard of filters using up nutrients, except NH3/4, NO2 via biological filtration. Chemical filtration may use up some too, but I don't use any. Vigourous mechanical filtration may drive off CO2 through surface agitation, but the higher O2 is beneficial for the fish. CO2 is cheap enough to simply add more to compensate.

I dose all my tanks daily, so nutrients are stable that way.

I think he is reffering to carbon removing water soluable minerals and chealates.
