Default A Distant Echo.

Hi,

I feel a bit of a cheat, because this scape was never finished. Adverse personal circumstances took over my life, and this tank became neglected and overgrown.

I did have hopes of entering it in this year`s ADA contest, but never could find the necessary motivation to get it in shape.

I am currently working on getting it back, so hopefully I will be able to show it at its best, and become less of a fraud.

Dave.

If your "neglected" aquascape looks this good. One that you have actively tended must be amazing!

Thanks Dave ! I like T5 lighting more than metal halide.

It's very dramatic and different. I think it's wonderful.

LOL, yes, Dave your tank looks stunning. To me it looks very rustic and fairly natural. Perhaps you had a vision of more manicured plants, but I have to tell you it looks really good as is.

Personally feel that the direction of the rocks is in the same direction making it too stiff in view, it looses the depth, it could be due to the size of the tank also.

Yes, I think it's dramatic and natural looking. Dave the larger rock on the left has alot of color to it. What kind of lighting was used to give off that color?

Thanks very much for all the feedback!

Blue 33: I know what you mean, but this scape was always intended to be about the flow of the plants around the rocks. The rocks at the front and mid are less prominent now.

J House: I actually managed to get the large rock to reflect the pinkish hue of the T5 at the back. This rock was just screaming out to be placed in the corner of the tank.

This tank is almost as tall as it is in length (Juwel Lido), so most aquascapes have to go up.

Dave.
