My first post in this forum. I only hope I can 'cut the mustard' as the standard here is very impressive.
I have been aquascaping planted aquariums for the last 2 years or so although I have kept fish for 20 years. I currently have 2 aquariums running. The title for this aquascape is taken from a beach location in cornwall, UK. My insipiration for the hardscape came from the beach I visited last year. Please feel free to comment ..... ![]() |

Not bad! I like the idea of rock standing out of the water. Right side is very good, but the left one lacks something. Maybe the smaller rock should be placed in other direction? And Valisneria doesn't realy fit there for me.

i think i see wat he was trying to do with the beach. idk if it was a FW beach or a SW beach, but if you look at it and picture small waves crashing on it and small fish like these swimming about, it would make the perfect beach. GREAT JOB!!!!!

Beautiful work my friend. I too love the rock coming out of the water, you don't see that too often.
I think something softer looking besides the Vals in the back left corner would really look better. Perhaps a tall hairgrass? |

Planter
You should put up the other picture from the angle as well. That was my favourite of this scape and I think shows a sense of height within the tank. Superb scape as I said on the UKaps. you are definately up there at the moment. Andy |

Planter very nice scape. Just some inquiry on your scape. I reaaly like the "feel" of the right side. I don't know about the other but it reminds me of a Chasm with a river flowing though it. The rock sticking out is what gives that feeling but your left side lacks a little I think. I think you should try a do something similar to the right.
Awesome scape. I will think about making a scape like this later on perhaps. |

This is the pic refered to - ![]() There have ben some recent changes since these pics.. The cyperus heleferi has gone and the fish have been removed to make way for 30 ember tetras. The tank looks MUCH better now IMO. |
