So many beautiful words....folks, you make me so proud. Thank you all.
As I sad before this is only one tank from my aquascaping collection „Water under the water“. That’s mean it will be more „lakes“ from me on this site...very soon. How I made a lake? Nature make it... I just pick a right peace and work on that peace. I mostly use alabaster and onix or quartz to imitate water. I grind and smooth a stone and need a light from the right side while I take a shot. . Size of tank is 38cm x 22cm x 22 cm Water parameters KH=6; GH= 6; NO3=2,5; PO4= 0,25; pH= 6,5 – 6,8 LIGHT tube 1 Daylight 6500 K 10 W T8 and tube 2 1400 K 10 W T8 , Photoperiod 10H; 2 h tube 1 ... 5 h both and 3 h tube 2. About stone....I think it’s woodstone, but I’m not expert in that field. My country is full of beautiful rocks. You just need to take a walk, go on right place and choose what nature offer. I’ve never bought a stone. I live in a big city . Most of my free time I spend in nature and I travel far away from city. Every time I find and bring home some interesting material for my hardscape. Each stone has specific emotion and reminds me on some wonderful place. Sometimes it is enough to get inspiration. Crystal lake is may be my favorite setup in last year and I’m so glad you like it. My wife call this setup ATLANTIDA

it's really something. Looks like original part of the nature. I've seen somewhere you mentioned term "Hyper realism"... Suppose this aquascape is the one of those like all of your scapes I've already seen.
Congrats. You should be pride. Filip Todorovic - Fikus |

Once again thanks all for beautiful words.
Guillermo sorry for delay with answer on your question. I have never made any drafts of a tanks prior to aquascaping process. Instead of drafts, the only thing I do is trying to imagine a picture in my head that I'm following during the whole process of aquascaping.

WOW ! your use of hardscape and lighting effects is amazing. Personaly for me there is not enough emphasis on plant growth. But what an amazing illusion you have created. Well done!!! I wonder what response this would get in ADA competition?
Great work |
