Default 10G "Boraras Dream"

Hey friends wanted to share my new 10 gallon set up. The fish used in this layout is a unidentified Boraras species which look similar to boraras maculatus but has slightly different markings.Hence the name. This layout was photographed at 90 days past set up.

Thanks
Bhushan

Welcome to ASW

I really like the layout you have created. All plants are healthy & growing very well. IMO, I feel it will look more appealing to take the Baby Tears out between the Crypts and just concentrate on the Crypts around the hardscape.

Great looking scape. The Hemianthus Micranthemoides is beautiful plant but is also very dominiate in this scape. I think the Crypt is too good looking to be covered up by the overgrowing Hemianthus Micranthemoides.

I've never since a macro shot of an oto before, and have to say it looks great! Stunning scape, and photography.

Hey John, Thanks for the kind words and the detailed observation. I agree with you the crypts are too nice to be covered with HM. But I was trying to create that wild look which would make the tank look like a small corner of a tropical river which I have seen in my home country.
I will definitely give yours and Trenac's suggestion a thought when I hack the HM next time.
Thanks
Bhushan

Wonderful shots of the Oto's!

I love the scape. I have to agree with John the HM could use a little thinning to showcase the crypts. Not too much though. I really like the wild and natural look you got going.
