Great job! I love the colors. I was trying to figure out what the red plant was on the left side, but Fikus pointed out it was a Lava Rock. It works quite well as the volcano.
![]() I'm surprised to see no fish/fauna in the aquarium. Is there a particular reason for that? -John N.

we use our local river sand and laterite as substrate and use PVC pipe with slit of 1/2 in apart. 1.compacting and aeration of substrate is minimized by by MT snails. 2.clogging of filtration is avoided by siphoning water when water change procedure is done via the inlet pipe(connected with the sub pump) for the last year and half so far no major problem was encountered. ![]() |

Hi Papillon.
Thanks for the comments on UGF, I'm amazed with the outcome of your tanks, looks like you've busted the myth of undergravel filtration is not good for planted aquariums Cheers ![]()

you're right guillermo, last 2-3 years ago issue of using laterite was also a big debate because of difficulty in water cloudiness, however i experimented on some technique/s and again i have proven that water clarity can be achieved with the use of UGF, and hope i have shared and shown that in our hobby UGF can be efficiently used....
