2007 Nov. I started this tank which was a very high maintenance with mostly stems. But in 2008 Jan, after my daughter's birth, I started running out of time. So that setup went for a toss. Then just before last summer I planned to transform it to a low maintenance tank and finaly I made it ultra low maintenance and low tech tank.
The tank as of today.... ![]() Tank: 50"x24"x24" Filter: Eheim 2217 (2 ltr Biomech included later) Light: 2x150watt MH (8000K). 8 Hrs a day. Ferts: KNO3, K2SO4, KH2PO4, CSM +b, Fe 10% (Once in 2 weeks. Sometimes once in a month) CO2: N/A Water Change: 80% WC after every 10 Days Will update the plants list soon. |

Yeh, agree this is not ultra low tech. To be so the lights would have to lower and no fertilizers.
Great layout though. I wonder if the same setup would work with less light. What plants do you have? |
