Default Return to the dream

This is one of my new setups. I’ve made this scape in January 2009.

Beautiful! What is the substrate? It looks like some kind of foam.

Yes mr. luke... you are right. In this setup I used fine quartz send.

Here is one more tank picture near my Sigma 28 - 105 mm lens just for comparison in size

Beautiful tank mate. looks really good. i was just wondering how long you keep a scape like this? it seems like they would be a tad difficult to maintain.

In some of your other scapes, I've felt like the chemically-molded "fake water" and the presentation made the scapes look well . . . fake, and unnatural like one of those foam-created landscapes built for train models. The scapes looked like something made out of plastic and styrofoam rather than rocks shaped by the earth and living breathing plants.

This one on the other hand, was put together very tastefully, and the waterfall feature was molded into the scape elegantly. The rockwork is also far superior to some of your other scapes, and the overall impression is just very good. Excellent job on such a small tank (which I know from experience is not easy to work in).

I'd be really interested in hearing about any dosing/co2 supplentation you do (and how you do it).

Another awesome tank.

How do you make the sand look like it has water pools in it?
