Hello Dan... Welcome to ASW

Both tanks look nice... Are these your first try at planted tanks?

May I also ask what flora is retroflexia?

BPASCreighton, goalcreas, Pat7676, Orlando, trenac, Roy Deki - thanks very much for the warm welcome guys! I've seen your scapes and it really inspire me alot!!

trenac - thank you for the comment and yes, this is my first try, but this tanks had undergone a lot of changes (1st tank, just a change of plants and twice re-scaped for the 2nd tank).
as for the plant, its Eleocharis Retroflexa (the grass-like plant at the right corner from the 1st tank), i got it from a friend.

By the way guys, I not yet satisfied with the 1st tank, it seems that it lacks something? your suggestions would be a great help in improving my skills in aquascaping!

Reagrds to all,
Dan

I like both of your scapes and think they look perfectly fine to me. Great work!

For your first HC scape, the only think I would change is maybe creating a more triangular apex to give the layout a more defined shape.

Both of your scapes looks good. The second scape could use a little bit more growth but I get the idea of your envision. The growth and plants looks great as well. Good work and keep it up!
