ASW kicks off 2010 with a well crafted Dutch influenced aquascape by Ukrainian aquascaper, Illarion Makarikhin.

Illarion Makarikhin says it best - "Aquascaping is an adventure and a series of vivid moments, moments of despair and joy. For some, it will remain exactly as road, but for others it will become a way of knowledge and self-improvement. And if the road has a final destination - the way to it is limitless and endless."

From the balanced growth and timing of the background Rotala stems plants with the foreground of Glossostigma, to the perfect trimmings of each plant, "Passage to the Red Forest" embodies the sense of learning, patience, and the aquascaper's creativity as he, himself, journey's down the adventurous road of aquascaping.
