Aquascape of the Month December 2009: "South American Stream"

ASW staff is proud to present a different use of aquatic plants than we are all most used to for the planted aquarium. The December 2009 Aquascape of the Month is a dramatic and stunning South American Biotope/Riparian Setup by Devin Biggs.

Entitled "South American Stream" after the aquascaper's attempt to create an ideal South American Biotope, this aquascape provides a different look at what it means to design and create an aquascape. The riparian setup is not only crafted with skill, it also provides a unique view into a natural stream found in the real world.

Thanks very much John for the opportunity of the TOTM feature. I really do appreciate it.

Unfortunately, I had to tear down that setup to make room for another new idea. The new system, a 50-gallon riparium for Synodontis catfish and some cichlids, is coming together pretty well.

I should start a journal for that one somewhere here.
